Helping Your Music Grow
About Us
Release My Music Online is a company that offers distribution to unsigned or independent artists directly and in some cases marketing and promotional services. Release My Music Online allocates digital music and video to a large catalogue of online and mobile retailers around the world.
There are many advantages in choosing Digital Distribution
1. An artist can get their work into the public domain easily.
2. It also cuts down on costs like manufacturing, stocking and distribution
3. It lowers your environmental footprint,
4. Your music is worldwide
5. Easily accessible with the Internet growing at a fast pace.
6. You receive more money in your pocket
Release My Music Online is efficient and reliable. Not only do we give you 100% of your royalties but we also offer a service that many of our competitors could not match up too. By choosing one of the packages and submitting your music, Release My Music Online can guarantee that your music will be in the stores within 4 to 6 weeks and that you keep all the rights to your music. From music to videos and ringtones Release My Music Online should be your final destination in your global takeover.
DISTRIBUTION
As the internet is expanding and social networking sites are booming, digital distribution is proving to be the most sensible means of getting your music out to the masses. Not only is exposure more obvious but it is more professional to show your fans a link to your music on a significant online store rather than distributing your music yourself from your bedroom.
Not only is this type of distribution unique in its approach but the whole model of saving money and labour on physical distribution and storing heavy CDs in large warehouses saves a lot on the bank balance when it comes to royalty payments. This is where Release My Music Online steps in. Not only do we take care of the storing and archiving of your music but we handle the distribution for you whilst taking care of paper work, registering your music with the PPL and Soundscape, organising barcodes, and sending out your quarterly royalties report. In addition to this we also send out a newsletter to thousands in our mailing list to let them know of your new release. We even provide promo support with Djs around the world to get you radio play. It is easy, cheap and there is no expectation... Actually ...... there is an expectation...... that you own the legal rights to your music and that all samples used in your tracks are cleared. All mechanical licenses for cover songs must be secured and for your benefit we would want you to be signed up to companies like ASCAP, BMI, or the PRS.
Here are the 10 simple steps to get your music out to the masses
1.Complete and master your recordings.
2.Complete album cover at a 600x600px jpg format
3. Contact Release My Music Online for registration form
4. Fill in and send with 320kbps wav and jpeg
5. Wait for receipt to be sent for payment
6. Kick back and wait for the stores to include your music
7. In the meantime promote your release to your fans
8. After 3 months you will collect your royalty report
9. Collect payment via Paypal or bank transfer if in the UK
10. Repeat from step 1
WHAT TO DO
Please note: Do not use iTunes to convert your tracks as it adds compression

PAYMENTS
Most sites do not advise you completely what a royalty payment is. Very rarely you will get the sum which it is sold at the shop front, or what they would say is the retail price, the stores always take a percentage and each store can vary from 1% to 40%. Once the stores have made their deductions Release My Music Online sends you it all, we do not take a penny. We give you all the royalties and dont charge you a yearly fee for any forms of admin. You have a choice of either Paypal, Google merchant, or bank transfers for your payments.
Release My Music Online allows the artists to get the best deal for their music. With extensive research we are now proved to be much cheaper than our competitors, yes that includes Tunecore, CD baby, Catapult, etc. We give you a free UPC code and assign you ISRC codes if needed.
£10 1 Single 100% Royalties To all stores

1 album - £15 - Per Year

What about royalties?

What is a UPC code?
A UPC is a product code is used in all the stores to locate your specific item. And is commonly used for your album, single or EP. Most websites charge a £20 fee for obtaining this because they are so expensive when you buy them. We include them free with the price.
What is a ISRC code?
For accounting reasons, each of your songs on your EP, Album or Single needs its own unique ISRC number. An ISRC is assigned to each song. This allows easy tracking of each song, such as keeping track of how many copies of it sold. Each ISRC is associated with only one song. We also offer this free.
How do I submit my tracks to you?
You would need to email us so we can send you an application form which you send in and we keep on file. We will send out a payment request for you. Once payment has been received for your credits we submit you the order information with your UPC code and release date.
How long does it take to get my music out?
We can get your music out within 24 hours to 5 weeks depending on the store. If you have a release date then it will show up in the stores but the customers will not be able to buy it until the release date is passed. Other than that, its pretty varied.
What else do you release?
We release videos of up to 10 minutes to a number of online and mobile stores, including, play.com, playstation.com 3 mobile and T-Mobile etc. For videos over this length you will need to sign up to the Labels service which allows you to send unlimited videos and music for a year for a fixed price.
Note: currently this service is on hold
What is that price?
For labels we charge £250 a year and they are able to send unlimited videos and music with free upc to all of our stores. They can cancel during that time but they will be liable for that year and wont be given a refund.
How do we get paid as an artist?
As a customer you will get a royalty report every quarter and if your amount goes over £20 we will send you out a payment depending on what option you have picked on the application form.
Can I cancel at any time?
Sure you can, but you will need to give us 4 weeks notice so we can take the stores off the shelf
What if I find another provider?
If you find a provider with a cheaper service we will match that price to keep you with us and give you 15 credits to be used however you like.
Can I be with you and another provider?
You cant be with 2 providers at the same time supplying to the same store, either one of us has to be supplying the store otherwise the store will just take your music off the shelf and neither pay us or your chosen distributor. If you want to use only a few of our stores cause you have music somewhere else, let us know and we can work around that.
I heard you do physical distribution too? How does that work?
We work closely with Amazon where we can offer you a service unlike no other. You have an album with artwork and want a physical copy then Amazon make it once a customer puts an order for it on Amazon. Amazon takes about 40% of the money to cover the cost of their manufacturing and bar coding etc and the rest goes to you.
